NO SECOND CHANCE Never Ending Fear (CD)

11/05/2011 | You guys ready for another lesson in beatdown? Well, here you are! London’s NO SECOND CHANCE debut full-length out now through Good Life recordings will certainly teach you more than a few things.
The young Londonians formed just last year and things for them seem to move on a rather hectic pace. Lotta gigs in UK and Europe and a demo followed up by this “NEVER ENDING FEAR”.
The five-some shelved out a collection of hard hitting songs saturated in a hostile sound and raging aggression. A good mix of the best European and Us metallic hardcore. Heavy, brutal and unrelenting, and with a few gang style sing along.
Lyrically they deal with personal life struggles and goes political on tracks like the title track…“when the kings wages war it’s the poor that die. Open your eyes. Open your mind”.
Not liking much the gruesome street violence themed cover artwork indeed.
NO SECOND CHANCE are working really hard to build a reputation for themselves as top dogs of the beatdown genre among the EU scene, and this debut record lays solid basis on this vision.
I’d definitely recommend this to those who are into beatdown and metallic hardcore but I’m rather sure that those looking for more experimental shit, melody or whatever their hardcore may sound like will likely label this as just average, without giving this a spin. But you know that’s how it goes…
