DISOBEY Internal Affairs (CD)

11/05/2011 | Wow! it was a while that I didn’t get the chance to listen to some thrashy hardcore punk no bullocks and no bullshits.
DISOBEY, a fourpiece hailing from Ruhrpott, is not really a new band, though I actually hadn’t the chance to check’em earlier. They are around since 2001. Their third full-length effort titled INTERNAL AFFAIRS, which follows-up to “Got The Fever” dated 2008, delivers 8 tracks of in your face hardcore punk with a thrashy feel to it, some grindcore influences (check the raw fast blast beat driven assault of tracks like “Living Hell” and “Wholstandsdilemma”) some more oldschoolish shit like the song “Retreats and Regrets”.
Cool punk cover artwork that seems to show two icons of America of the 60’s, Nixon and Elvis, shaking hands (or opposed as their record label suggests).
INTERNAL AFFAIRS clocks in 16 minutes only. But, you know, the shorter and intense, the better.
The album is currently out via Horrorbusiness records.
